Overview

The Sim Metrics service calculates derived metrics from simulation outputs, producing equivalent metrics to those generated by the Metrics Service but based on simulated data rather than real-world sensor readings. This parallel calculation enables direct comparison between simulated and actual network performance.

The service processes simulation results and generates metrics using the same calculation logic as the Metrics Service, ensuring that simulated metrics are directly comparable to actuals. These metrics are used by the Simulation Validation service to assess simulation accuracy and by the frontend to display simulation results alongside real-world data.
